Neil Gits His Eyes Stretched !

First of all I apologize if I mention the s**w too much in this week’s show – last Monday was when it all started to happen, just as I turned up at the radio station car park, but since then we’ve all had four more much worse days of stress and inconvenience over it and now enough is enough !! Let the thaw begin !! Hopefully, my moaning (I am an “Old Git” after all!) won’t spoil your enjoyment of today’s repeat play at 5pm …

One rather more minor issue that caused me a few head scratching moments was the fact that four large new monitors had appeared in my studio for all the websites, Mp3s, emails and automated programming, etc that needs them in there. First step was to try and find the tiny little button that turned each one on ! Five minutes later, I located it cunningly hidden away in the bottom right hand corner (I am putting this in the blog so I can refer back to it in case I forget by next Monday …) . Then there was the size and shape of them – much less “square” than the old ones, so any photos I looked at or text I read came out severely stretched and I wasted a few more minutes trying to adjust the viewing settings, so that it wasn’t like being at the cinema !! I’ve stopped going to modern cinemas because the screens are so huge now that I get a stiff neck moving my head from side to side to see everything !

Anyway, the new monitors are actually jolly nice now I’ve got used to them, so let’s stop being a miserable old beggar and point you in the direction of some great soul, jazz-funk and disco – now available in widescreen !!! 😉
