We were not even into double figures in December on Nathan’s advent calender and – PLOP! – it landed on the doormat, the first card of the season ! Well, that was someone a lot more organize than me , that’s for sure…
However, it did remind me that I have two special end of year shows I am in the middle of pre-recording for broadcast somewhere around the Mondays of the 24th & 31st December when i will obviously NOT be live on air, being someone who makes most of his living as a full-time party DJ !!
The first one is the “Dead Good Soul Show” , a tribute to 25 of the many big names in soul that have left us in recent years, plus one or two other legends who went too soon and have now been dead longer than they were alive ! Think Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass, James Brown, Luther Vandross … you get the picture…
Show two is “The Old Gits Best Bits” and should air on or around New Years Eve, with an other chance to hear some of the gems I pulled off the shelf in 2012 for the first time in over 20 years – and yes, it’s an ALL VINYL selection ! I can see you drooling already …
Check the schedules nearer the time, but you WILL be reminded when I know exactly when they will be aired ! In the meantime here’s this week’s line-up:
