Now, “The Old Gits Soul Show” is all about the music, the classic tunes from the soul-jazz-funk-disco ear of the 70s & 80s, but a regular reader of this blog or listener to the show will note an underlying theme each week – FOOD !!! Nathan and I look forward to our time in the studio each Monday, not just because of the tunes and the banter, but also because of our weekly treat at one of the Basildon area’s many eateries … and we tried a new one last Monday, “Ned’s Noodles” . So many times we’ve walked past on the way to the loo either before or after the show, that it was only a matter of time before we made a point of visiting for some nosh. No, this isn’t going to be a review – but suffice to say we enjoyed it ! And it hardly had an adverse effect on the show either as you can see from the list of tasty tunes we got through afterwards … 😉
