No, not 150 years old! I know I’m an “Old Git” but not THAT old ! In actual fact, last Monday I hosted my 150th Monday night show live on Gateway 97.8FM. It kind of crept up on me whilst busily preparing and suddenly noticed that the next playlist I was about to save in my folder was to be labelled “150” – where does the time go?! In a few weeks time, in early September (there are 52 weeks in a year , y’know!) it thus follows that I will be celebrating three years of constantly spreading soulful tunes across the airwaves of Basildon & East Thurrock, so maybe there will be more of a fanfare about that show…
In the meantime, don’t forget you can hear a repeat play of the auspicious occasion this Saturday at 5pm – two more hours of super soul, jazz-funk & disco from the 70s 80s & beyond!
