Neil Gits To Play "Soul Superstars"

29th December 2011
Posted by Neil Matthew

I am writing this blog in between the two Bank Holiday Mondays, so if you are reading this the minute the ink is dry, so to speak, then the bad news is you missed the first of my special “Soul Superstars” shows last Monday – but the good news is that part two is on this Monday 2nd January LIVE at 7pm ! Sadly, the busy end of year schedule means there are no repeats of these shows, but you can view the tracks I chose for Part One below, which was a “Masters Of Soul” special dedicated to 25 of the greatest male soul singers of the 70s & 80s. Why not use the wonders of the internet to investigate some of the fab tracks you missed ?

In the name of political correctness, Part Two is choc-a-bloc with the “Ladies Of Soul”, so if a show crammed with tunes by the likes of Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Gladys Knight, Phylis Hyman and Aretha Franklin sounds good to you, don’t miss your one chance to tune in either here on the website or on 97.8FM in Basildon & East Thurrock and leave some feedback via text or e-mail or on Facebook (join the group “Old Gits Soul Show” !)
