One of the good things about being on the radio has always been that it doesn’t matter how you look, it’s how you and your show sound that counts, so if I feel like strolling in with dirty ripped jeans on and wearing a completely out of date scruffy promotional T-shirt then I can – it won’t make any difference to how much my listener enjoys the tunes ! Except that these days, there are web cams everywhere and there’s always someone snapping away on their phone camera and before you know it, you are there in the studio on social media looking like a tramp !! Recently the G/F decided it was time she had a go at what’s left of my hair with her clippers and though it hadn’t crossed my mind,  I did look and feel better after being shorn – and , hey, the next two shows sounded great ! 🙂
