Listen: COVID is holding people back from their ‘dream job’

The Covid-19 pandemic has sparked a significant rethink when it comes to people’s perspectives on their jobs and career ambitions, but fears about financial stability is holding many back from pursuing their ‘dream job’, according to new research by F&C Investment Trust.

While job appreciation has increased, the research found that the majority job seekers are yet to secure their ‘dream job’, with very few believing they’re on the right track to do so. Money worries being the greatest barrier preventing securing their ‘dream job’, with the majority reluctant to do so due to fears around financial stability, and the knock-on impact on their family.
