With Brits being encouraged to get out and spend again, a new report suggests many are keen to make every penny count to help not just the economy, but communities recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

A report, released today by eBay UK, has found in light of the pandemic 8 in 10 (81%) UK adults have a changed approach to shopping and are spending their money more consciously. While the majority of the UK (56%) believe it’s more important to buy from businesses that give back to society.

Impulse purchases may be a thing of the past for more than half of us too, as 51% of UK adults say they now spend more time researching a buy than before the pandemic.

Aston spoke to Chris Gale, head of social impact of eBay UK to discuss ‘eBay for Change’ and how customers will receive a great product, as well as the satisfaction that the proceeds from their purchase will make a real difference and support communities.
