Veganuary 2021 is expected to be the biggest yet as British vegan population grows by 62%.

In 2020, Veganuary – the awareness month that celebrates the benefits of a vegan diet – had its biggest year on record with 400,000 signing up, but with 72% of last year’s participants reporting that they planned to continue their vegan diets beyond the month, this year’s total is expected to be even larger. Recent figures suggest that the number of British vegans has risen by 62% in the last 12 months, and this rise was reflected over the course of last year’s lockdown when demand for vegan products and plant-based alternatives spiked significantly.
