Russell Quirk discusses Rishi Sunak’s stamp duty holiday

A £30 billion support package has been unveiled by the chancellor – in an attempt to boost the UK economy.

Firms which have furloughed staff will be given £1,000 per worker to keep them on.

We’ll be given restaurant discounts in August to encourage us to eat out – while VAT at restaurants and hotels is to be cut.

There’ll be no stamp duty to pay on homes worth up to half a million pounds.
