Listen: reopening of pubs indoors

Following the bubbles as they rise to the top of the glass, and watching the condensation form on the outside, all while surrounded by the sights and smells of the local. It is a feeling many of us are fantasising about; that first proper post-lockdown pint in the pub.

In fact, as many as 3.27 million UK adults admit to having dreamt about their first pint back in the local, while 19% have found themselves talking about the moment with their friends, according to research from Budweiser Brewing Group.

Come to drink of it, that should come as no surprise as, considering only about 40% of pubs in England have outdoor space to accommodate customers, most are set to reopen and welcome back punters next Monday (17^th May).

Aston spoke to Peter Harrison from Budweiser Brewing Group UK & I to talk about how Budweiser Brewing Group is helping pubs to reopen – for example for every pint served, Stella Artois is giving £1 to bar staff tips with the brand committing to tipping the industry £500,000, the important role the brewer’s team of expert drinks dispense technicians have played in making sure each pint is tip-top, and anticipation-worthy.
