This Hospice Care Week (9th-15th October), St. Luke’s Hospice is encouraging the public to show its support for the charity in celebration of hospice care.

Led by national charity Hospice UK, Hospice Care Week shines a light on hospice care and the work that is being done to make palliative and end-of-life care and support available for all.

St. Luke’s Hospice is inviting people to show their support for the charity by wearing one of its special blue heart pin badges during the week and beyond.

The blue heart pin badge is available for every donation that is made in celebration of Hospice Care Week. Donations can be made online at www.stlukeshospice.com/hospice-care-week.

People can also receive a pin badge when they donate an electrical item to any St. Luke’s Hospice charity shop during Hospice Care Week.  Please see www.stlukeshospice.com/hospice-care-week for more details.

Sarah Stoddart, organiser of the Hospice Care Week appeal at St. Luke’s Hospice, said:

“Hospice Care Week gives us all a chance to celebrate the importance of hospice care, and to recognise the difference it makes to peoples’ lives.

“St. Luke’s Hospice is able to continue caring for local people and their families thanks to the generosity of our local community. If you are able to, we would be grateful for any donation to support our work this Hospice Care Week.”
