Portugal has been added to the Government safe list allowing brits a last-minute summer holiday without quarantine restrictions. To keep up with demand Ryanair has increased its Faro flights from London Southend Airport with 4 departures each week.

Dara Brady, Director of Marketing and Digital Ryanair said:

“Ryanair is thrilled to strengthen the connection between the UK and sunny Faro over the coming weeks with the additional flights we are making it easier than ever for UK holidaymakers to book that long-awaited trip in the sun.”

Many have seen their summer holidays affected by the uncertainty of quarantine and after several months in lock down, a break away from the walls that have become so familiar is welcome.

Glyn Jones, CEO London Southend Airport added:

“There is clearly demand for air travel. We have invested in a wide range of measures to help passengers confident about choosing London Southend in a COVID world and as the most modern London airport there is space to socially distance.

After the confusion which has arisen from the ever changing quarantine measures, we are pleased that Portugal has been added to the safe list and indeed that Ryanair was ready to respond to those wanting to travel for some late summer sun”.
