A new survey of UK workers has found that the majority are keen to embrace a hybrid approach to work, whereby they spend some days in and others out of the office each week. But close to a quarter of employees fear that this will spell the end of that old office feel.

The largest proportion of employees (39%) were keen to embrace hybrid work yet while for 30% hybrid work is the best of both worlds, many are concerned about what it might mean for their workplace environment.

ndeed, over a quarter are concerned that the office atmosphere may change, given the reduced amount of contact with other members of their team, while an equally large proportion fear that hybrid work will affect their work relationships, with those coming in more often given preferential treatment by other employees and superiors. Workers are also worried that their workspace might lose its ‘personal’ feel, with 1 in 5 anxious that they will no longer have a spot in the office to call their own.
