Listen: How I Ended My Endometriosis Naturally

Endometriosis is a chronic condition that causes tissue found in the womb to grow elsewhere in the body. Like the womb lining itself, these tissues bleed every month, but with nowhere to go, it becomes trapped. This trapping causes inflammation and incredible distress.

Wendy K. Laidlaw suffered from Endometriosis for over 33 years. The pain is so intense that it left her bedbound and at one point she even considered taking her own life. However, through an entirely holistic approach Wendy has put her condition into remission, and is set to release her book How I Ended My Endometriosis Naturally: Without Painkillers, Drugs or Surgery on Friday to coincide with Endometriosis Awareness Month.

After 22 years of excruciating Endometriosis, countless visits to GP’s, multiple surgeries and endless medication, Marie followed Wendy’s plan, and it completely changed her life. Working in a high-pressured job at the Home Office, Marie was often overwhelmed with stress and anxiety that would make her Endo flare up. She attributes Wendy’s so called ‘Laidlaw Protocols’, which identify the underlying causes of the inflammation and hormonal imbalances in saving her from a life of pain and is keen to encourage more women to do the same.

Wendy now works with women across the world and is very honest in saying this is not a miracle cure: it is about focusing on individual women’s situations, listening and healing rather than ‘fixing’ the condition. Listening is especially important when so many women have to advocate for themselves for years in order to get heard and diagnosed.
