War veteran, 94, first to get coronavirus vaccine in Basildon

Well done to 94 year-old war veteran Frederick Benton, from Grays, for being the first to receive the coronavirus vaccine at Basildon Hospital.

Frederick Benton said:

“I feel really privileged to be one of the first people in the country to have the vaccine. We’re really lucky, it’s marvellous.”

Thank you to staff at Basildon Hospital who have been working tirelessly for the past 9 months.
