World Sleep Day

19th March 2021
Posted by Aston Avery

After nearly a year of working from home, the smart aspect of the smart casual dress code has completely gone for many of us.

With just our top halves now seen on screen only 6% of us are now wearing smart attire on a daily basis and 65% admit that they only ever properly dress the upper parts of our body, according to new research by Premier Inn.

When working from home, comfort is key as 37% feel that they work more efficiently when they are wearing comfy clothes, 20% feel happier wearing jogging bottoms or PJs and 1 in 5 of us wish that  they could wear pyjamas to the office when they go back in.

So to help people working from home stay warm and cosy whilst still appearing completely professional on Zoom or Teams video calls, Premier Inn has created the unique Zzzoovet – a wraparound duvet that comes with either a smart unisex crisp white buttoned shirt or a fresh white sweatshirt.

And with today (Friday, 19 March) being World Sleep Day it is safe to say that the last 12 months has not all been bad as 23% say they get more sleep at night as they do not have to get their clothes ready the night before and nearly a quarter (23%) admit they have napped more than ever before.

Aston spoke to James Latham, sleep & comfort expert at Premier Inn to discuss the research and how the Zzzoovet is a fun antidote to the difficult working circumstances that we’ve learned to live with the past year.
