Armed Robbery on Canvey

Police appealing for information following a robbery on Canvey Island.

The attack happened when two men walked into the post office on Maurice Road shortly before 3pm on Monday, November 26 and threatened staff with a knife.

The first is described as white, aged 18 to 19-years-old, 6ft tall, and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, a black waterproof jacket, a dark scarf covering his mouth and nose, dark trousers and dark trainers.

He was armed with a knife described as having a six-inch blade and black handle.

The other suspect was also white and of a similar age and height. He wore similar clothing to the first but had light trainers on.

At this stage, it is unknown whether anything was stolen.

Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Southend police station on 101.
