Basildon man charged with 14 offences

A man has been charged with 14 driving and criminal damage offences following an investigation by officers in Basildon.

Robert Blackmore, 31, was charged with failing to stop for police, theft of a car, aggravated vehicle taking and  four counts of criminal damage.

He was charged with three counts of driving while disqualified, three counts of driving without insurance, and one of resisting arrest.

The charges relate to incidents on June 3, 9 and 17.

Blackmore, of Butneys, Basildon, appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on 19 June. The hearing has been adjourned to sometime from mid July.
