Man Stabbed in Luncies Road

Detectives have appealed for information after a man was stabbed during an assault at Basildon.

The incident happened in a park off Luncies Road at about 12.20am on Saturday January 18.

The victim, who is in his 30s and from Basildon, was walking through the park when he was approached by a group of men who began shouting at him. One man punched the victim in the face before he was stabbed in the arm with an unknown weapon.

He was taken to Basildon Hospital and had surgery on his injuries.
