Police have renewed their appeal to find the rightful owners of some jewellery they believe to have been stolen.
Officers have received a number of calls since an appeal was issued to find who owned some belongings that were recovered from a vehicle in Benfleet.
A number of necklaces, lockets, rings, bracelets and earrings were recovered after a vehicle was stopped at Sadlers Farm Rounabout, in Benfleet, on October 24.

Pc Emma Henderson, of Basildon CID, said: “We’ve had several calls but unfortunately we still haven’t traced the owners of this jewellery. I really need people to have a look and call me if they think any of it might belong to them.”

29-year-old Rickey Copsey, a computer consultant from Benfleet has since been charged and released on police bail for handling stolen goods and will appear before the Basildon Magistrates Court on December 12th.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Pc Henderson, or her colleagues at Basildon, on 101.
