MP talks to students about Parliament

John Baron MP visited Sunnymeade Junior School, Meadoway, Billericay to talk to students about his role as a Member of Parliament. 

John said:

“It was a pleasure to visit the school again to catch up with progress and take a wide variety of questions from around 60 children in the Assembly Hall. The subjects ranged from work routines, the job of Parliamentarians, and the importance of helping people. Finishing with ‘high 5s’ with everyone, caused a smile all round!”

Lindsey Wilcox (class teacher) said:

“John Baron MP spoke to the children about his job and the role of an MP.  The children were then able to ask him a range of questions, which supported their learning. They were enthusiastic and now have a better understanding of the parliamentary system.  We may have some future politicians!”
