Furtherwick Road Armed Robbery

Detectives are hunting a man who stole a large quantity of jewellery during an armed robbery on Canvey Island.

The attack happened when the man entered Jewellery Paradise shortly after 4:30pm on Wednesday, December 12 and threatened staff with a firearm before taking a four-figure sum of gold chains which he placed in a plastic England carrier bag.

The assailant is described as white, aged in his late 20s, of slim build, was wearing a black hat and white trainers.

Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Rayleigh police station on 101.
