John Baron MP thanks electorate for his re-election

Following the result of Thursday’s General Election, John said,

“I would like to thank the residents of Basildon & Billericay for once-again re-electing me as their representative in Parliament. It is a great honour and privilege to serve as an MP, and my team and I will continue to serve everyone in the constituency as we have done over the last 18 years.

“I would also like to thank my association, campaign team, as well as my agent, Cllr Andrew Schrader, for all their help, assistance and encouragement over the election period.

“The resounding scale of the Conservative victory is a ringing endorsement of our central policy of getting Brexit done by the end of January, and I look forward to playing my full part in finally implementing the result of the 2016 EU referendum.

“However, there is much more to achieve over the coming Parliament than Brexit alone. With a commanding majority, we are in a strong position to further our One Nation agenda and implement the Conservative manifesto – including our central pledges on the NHS, education and policing.”
