Man fights for his life following Archers Fields crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a quad bike crash on an industrial estate in Basildon which has left a man fighting for his life.

The collision happened when a blue quad bike and a blue VW Passat struck each other on Archers Fields shortly before 12:30pm on Saturday, June 8. The quad bike rider, a 45-year-old man from Leigh, was airlifted to Royal London Hospital after sustaining multiple injuries. He is currently in a critical but stable condition.

The car driver was uninjured.

A section of the road was closed for approximately five hours while forensic collision investigators carried out their enquiries which will help them to determine the cause of the crash.
