More than 100 vehicles were stopped and checked by police after a major police operation in Vange to increase road safety and reduce crime.
The operation, codenamed Sheltered Path, took place at London Road on Wednesday September 12, 2012 and involved over a dozen officers.
Six vehicles were seized because the drivers were not insured and five fixed penalty notices were issued for driving without insurance. A further five penalty notices were issued for driving without valid licences, 38 people were stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, 12 vehicles were found without a valid MOT and 22 drivers were stopped for driving while using a mobile telephone.
