Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Basildon.
At 11.50pm on Friday August 31, 2012, a man was walking through the bus station when he was chased by five young white men, the victim ran to Southernhay and then to the service road, at which point they caught up with him where they kicked and punched him. The victim sustained a black eye and bruising to his rib and chest area.
Investigating officer, Pc Marek Jaworski said: “The victim has no idea why these men decided to chase or pick on him or who they may be. I am appealing for anyone who was in the area or knows who these men may be to contact me.”
