Three people have been arrested following a stabbing in Basildon.
Police had been contacted by staff at Basildon University Hospital shortly after 1:30am on Sunday, August 12. They were reporting that a man had been brought into their Accident & Emergency Department with stab wounds.
Officers arrived and found a 36-year-old local man with abdominal injuries. Meanwhile, they also received information that the victim had initially asked for assistance at the nearby BP garage on Roundacre and this was cordoned off for the rest of the morning while scenes of crime officers carried out their enquiries.
Three people were later arrested at a flat in the town. The victim is currently in a stable condition.
