Beauchamp’s School fashion competition

I had a delightful afternoon spent at Beauchamps High School, Wickford on behalf of Gateway 97.8, when myself and four other visitors of different backgrounds were asked to judge Year 8’s entry into the Fashion & Media World.

Four great teams of youngsters all competing to be THE BEST – they were all very competent and articulate. On speaking with some of them all had their own ideas of what they want want the future to hold for them, and obviously will make if today’s display is anything to go by. I tried on a lovely hat made out of magazines and newspaper which could actually be worn. Old clothes were re-invented into new designs, all wearable – and I came away with my own certificate just for turning up. Thank you!
