Canveys Jessica Judd runs to victory in the European Team Championships

Canveys Jessica Judd, aged only 18, ran to a surprise victory in the 800m in The European Team Championships in Gateshead.  Jessica, who has just finished her A levels, crossed the line in an impressive 2 minutes 0.82 seconds.  Her predicted placing with fifth.

Jessica said that she was aware of the Russian on her shoulder, but dug deep and finished first.  She now plans to go out and celebrate finishing her exams and her wonderful win.
