It doesn’t seem that long ago that every single Friday, Saturday and Sunday night was a whirlwind of driving to gigs, setting up, socializing and of course playing some marvellous music to the party-goers of Essex – a Saturday night off was almost unheard of and would surely signal the end of my career was nigh !! But times changed, I’ve got older, my work routine has evolved and now I usually have both Friday & Saturday nights off, keeping my hand in with the odd DJ set here and there, but mainly working Sunday to Thursday on my quiz nights and of course on Mondays it is the “Old Gits Soul Show” live form 7-9pm on Gateway ! 🙂
Last weekend was a particularly long one though as I didn’t even do my Sunday night quiz due to an early Xmas booking at the venue so I made use of the extra time to give my paperwork and computer folders a spruce up and whilst in my radio show files found plenty of good ideas to use over the next few weeks, the immediate effect being that last Monday’s show was a belter !!
