90s Revival: Friends Reunited? STEPS are back!

It might have been the last thing on your mind, but the biggest music news story of the week is that pop group Steps are getting back together. Claire, Faye, Lisa, H and Lee were assembled in 1997 from thousands who responded to an ad in The Stage. Their debut hit was 5,6,7,8 which just missed out on the top ten. Since then, they’ve sold more than ten million records. They’ve been away for a decade and have reunited after a documentary where they sorted out their differences. The result is a Spring 2012 tour and an ‘Ultimate Collection’ CD.

So as part of the next Nineties Revival this Tuesday from 7  on Gateway 97.8 FM – I’m going to bring you a selection of music from ten groups/artists of the 90s who’ve made a come back in recent times. From the likes of En Vogue, Take That and East 17. I’d also like to know which STEPS songs are your favourites? The one with the most nominations will be played on the show. Will it be a reunion that’s better best forgotten or not? We shall find out next April.
