Nineties Revival > 10.01.12

The Nineties Revival is a weekly nostalgia music show broadcast on a Tuesday evening between 7 & 9.  Presented by Mark Hardie (me) the show digs out the music you’ve not heard for ages, with nineties related features and themes.

This week we had some alternative nineties from the Foo Fighters, a double eighties & nineties track from Bon Jovi, a forgotten classic from Aqua who are touring Australia this March and the A to Z moved onto the letter C with tracks from Catatonia and Chaka Demus & Pliers.

2012 is also the 20th anniversary of the text message. The first one ever said ‘Merry Christmas’.

Our mini-series looking at number two hits of the nineties continued with a selection from 1992. Nigel Mansell was the Formula One champion, it was fashionable to wear your clothes back to front (thanks to Kriss Kross) and Ab Fab arrived on our TV screens.

Lyrical Puzzle: Don’t you know it’s true. Girl there’s no one else but you.

Answer: Charles & Eddie, Would I Lie To You.
