Good Afternoon this Friday the 23rd Of March 2012

Hi there, Steve Gallant here, looking forward to hosting the programme this Friday, I must say the weather has been spectacular, seemingly merging from winter into summer .

I expect that many listeners will be inspired to spend time in their gardens, cutting back dead wood and making plans for a little landscaping perhaps. I confess to feeling inspired myself and no doubt will be directed to essential work by the head gardener, my wife! Over and above that, having recently returned from an amazing ski trip to St. Moritz in Switzerland, it is now back to that commodity we refer to as reality!

My guest on the telephone this Friday will be Richard Bremner, freelance automotive journalist who is closely associated with Autocar magazine, Richard seems to have a dream job, travelling the world driving all sorts of cars and writing about them. Richard will be sharing his thoughts and views on this years Geneva motor show and in particular, examining the the honour bestowed on the Vauxhall Ampera, or Chevy Volt, which won car of the year award for a hybrid vehicle. At the moment this technology is expensive, but with government subsidies and zero road tax cars like this may be worth a closer look. Richard will also be commenting on his recent trip to New Zealand, a country I have always wanted to visit.

All of this together with a personally chosen playlist, some old some new but hopefully will hit the spot for a Friday afternoon.
