Popcorn, a fizzy drink and someone really tall sitting in front of you. That *might* sum up a typical cinema experience. Movies can make you laugh, cry or jump out of your seat. Of course it’s not just the great storylines, characters and locations. The soundtracks can also be very memorable. Think Love is All Around which spent 15 weeks at number one in 1994.

On the 90s Revival this week, the Tuesday evening show which brings back the decade, we featured a selection of ‘chick flick’ movie soundtracks from the 90s. I’m talking the movie adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, Pretty Woman and The Wedding Singer.

We featured the UK and US number one single and album from on this day in 1990 from Maria Mckee, Mc Hammer and Maxi Priest. The 80s in the 90s featured the Human League with a classic from 1983 and 1995. Weezer were our alternative sounds feature as we paid tribute to their former Bass player Mikey Welsh. The forgotten classic was from Bass-O-Matic. Oh and 90s pop group Steps have reformed, are releasing an ‘ultimate collection’ and going on tour.
