PITSEA COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS THIS WEEKEND!

Christmas is coming early to Pitsea this year with a day of live entertainment, free panto, fairground rides and Christmas stalls this
Saturday (26 November).

Supported by Basildon Council’s “The Place” (Pitsea Leisure Centre) and organised by the local business community, Pitsea Community Christmas starts at noon at the centre with free taster and drop in sessions, followed by face painting, arts and crafts and a special visit from Father Christmas at 3pm.

The free Christmas pantomime “Rudolph” produced with support from Veolia Environmental Services has already sold out; however there will be lots of other live entertainment hosted by Gateway 97.8 and Castaway Restaurant throughout the day including The Rat Pack Is Back tribute act and a Freddie Mercury Tribute act.

Cabinet Member for Community Services, Cllr Andrew Baggott, encouraged residents to come out and support this community organised event. He said:
“Pitsea Community Christmas is packed with fun and entertainment throughout the day for the entire family.

“St Luke’s Hospice will be there in the evening with their annual Christmas light up service and a Christmas choir will also be singing to help get us all into the festive spirit.”

The Mayor of Basildon Borough, Cllr Mo Larkin and Pitsea Carnival Queen will also be there to switch on the Pitsea’s Christmas tree lights outside “The Place”, after 6.30pm.
