Gateway 97.8 celebrates its second anniversary

Gateway 97.8 is celebrating two years of being on air (25th September)

As Gateway 97.8 enters our second year of broadcasting truly local radio to Basildon and East Thurrock, and the surrounding areas, now is the perfect time, for myself, Ros, Danny and Yvonne to thank all of our members, presenters, and everyone else who have contributed with our community radio station, as well as the support from you, our listeners.

During the last 24 months, we have won Big Society Award from Prime Minister David Cameron and The Queen’s Awards for Voluntary Service, and that is exceptional!

All of our team are talented people, who have all put a lot of effort into the radio station, and I truly feel that there’s huge potential for the future of Gateway 97.8.
