Pension cuts for Argos workers causes strike action

Retail workers at Argos in Pipps Hill Retail Park, Basildon are currently on strike as rows over pension cuts have broken out.

Argos have announced that their workers’ pension scheme will be gradually reduced from the final salary scheme. As a result, many are expecting employees to lose ou by tens of thousands of pounds.

The protest is expected to last for three more days in order to prevent change to their pension entitlements.
