Posted by loveradio

The Cheltenham Festival is just around the corner, leaving horse racing fans all over the country waiting with bated breath for one of the finest week’s of racing on offer each year.

For those who don’t know, the Cheltenham Festival takes place over four days, beginning on Tuesday and ending on Friday, with this year’s scheduled dates seeing the festival take place from 10-13 March 2020.

There are plenty of highlights that take place throughout the week at one of the finest racecourses in England, though none quite compare to the Cheltenham Gold Cup. It is always the most anticipated race of the week and sees some of the finest race horses, jockeys and trainers on display competing for one of the most prestigious victories within the sport.

This year, there is a huge £625,000 up for grabs for the winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and even more money is set to be staked on the race by punters up and down the length of the country.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup always attracts huge betting interest each year, as does the festival as a whole, with millions of pounds being spent by punters looking to profit from their racing knowledge. However, if current odds are anything to go by, this year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup could well be one of the closest and most unpredictable of recent times.

There are six horses currently priced at odds between 4/1 and 7/1 with the race just a little over five weeks away, with the current favourites being Delta Work and last year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo at 4/1.

Behind them is Santini at 5/1, while Kemboy and Clan Des Obeaux are both paired at 6/1. Lostintranslation is also fancied by some and punters can currently get a price of 7/1 for a win.

Judging by these current odds, each way betting could well be the order of the day when it comes to Friday at the Cheltenham Festival. Other Cheltenham favourites such as Presenting Percy, Native River and Bristol De Mai could all also run in the Gold Cup and would throw another intriguing element to the build up to the race.

Notable Cheltenham Gold Cup Betting Odds:

Delta Work – 4/1

Al Boum Photo – 4/1

Santini – 5/1

Kemboy – 6/1

Clan Des Obeaux – 6/1

Lostintranslation – 7/1
