On Saturday 3rd August, the Gateway 97.8 Roadshow team attended the CAZ (Craylands Activity Zone) funday.
There was lots going on including a bouncy castle, crazy golf, rat runner, loads of games where gifts were given away, and even performances from B.M.A.K.G, Kayzar Dance, Kung Fu & Tai Chi.
Local companies also turned up to the event, such as Basildon Council, Swan Housing, Cycles Uk, Adult Community Learning, B.M.A.K.G (Martial Arts & Karate), and Change 4 life.
CAZ wrote on their Facebook page this update following the event.
We had rather an eventful day at or Free Open Day. The raffle took £776.19 pf which £232.86 is going to St Lukes Hospice and the remaining £543.33 will go to club. Our prize every time stall made an impressive £197.99 and at just 30p a go means nearly 650 sales were made. Our canteen on the day made a whopping £265.70 meaning club made a grand total of £1,007.02!
Congratulations and many thanks to all the staff for their hard work and thank you to everyone for your part in helping us achieve this.
