With so many of us staying at home for more than a year, half of motorists  (46%) are dreading getting behind the wheel, secretly wishing they never had to drive again.

A third (32%) say they’ve barely used the car and around a half (47%) say they’re so anxious they may book driving lessons.

The average British driver has only been behind the wheel for up to five hours a week over the past year – less than half as much as they were pre-pandemic. And this extended break from driving is causing a lot of anxiety with around a third (29%) saying they’re worried about motorway driving again.
