I had one of those phone calls last week that came straight out of the blue and was totally unexpected. A PR company got in touch with Gateway as one of their clients are due to perform a concert in Basildon next month and they wondered if we’d like to fix up an interview so the chaps in the office decided my show would be the ideal place to air it and asked if I’d like to do the honours. As the group in question were one of THE biggest names in soul in the 70s, I thought about it for two seconds and said “yeah, ok!” and next Monday (26th) you will be able to hear the results of our chat.
