I was quite disappointed with the low number of St Georges Flags being displayed around our area whilst driving out and about last Monday – I think I was the ONLY person proudly flying them on his car all day and saw very few being displayed on private properties, but well done to the several shops and business in and around Wickford who had the famous red cross on display ! To mark England’s National Day, it was a “Full English” show and if you didn’t mark the occasion yourself and now feel guilty for your neglect, you can make up for it in a small way by tuning in to the repeat play at 5pm this Saturday and hear two hours of the finest soul, jazz-funk and disco acts this country offered up in the 70s 80s & 90s …
