Sorry its late guys but its finally here, the Brownstock special podcast hosted by yours truly DJ HappyFeet. I was down at Morris farm Essex from Friday the 29th of August coming home on the morning of Monday the 1st. What a weekend i had seeing old friend Connor aka ‘Cojay’ open the good shed stage on the Friday at 7, being on stage supporting him with his whole crew. He absolutely smashed his set & definitely proved he’s got a lot of talent to offer. Keep your eyes peeled for Cojay.
Cojay & the team
Other highlights of the Friday night included headline act Dizzee Rascal really get the crowd at the main stage going with his awesome performance & also a performance from P Money who closed the Good Shed finishing his set about midnight. We then move on to the Saturday where the Good Shed hosted many great DJ’s including Mat Format, Mak & Pasteman, Jack Beats, Doorly, Route 94, Claude Von Stroke & Garage legend DJ EZ. Claude Von Stroke really impressed me with his bangers getting the whole crowd on a wicked vibe but DJ EZ proved why he has the huge reputation under his belt with a wicked DJ set i will never forget, i even got to meet the Legend himself!
Unfortunately i had to miss a few acts i wanted to see at the good shed so i could head to the main stage to see 2 amazing performers 1st being Roots Manuva & second being Hip hop legends De La Soul. Roots was incredible but i must say De La Soul was one of the best hip hop performances i had ever seen. They just brought so much energy to the crowd getting everyone in the party mood.
Last but not least we get to the Sunday where for me it was all about the Good Shed seeing Drum & Bass DJ’s such as Scoundrel, Matrix & Futurebound, Shy FX, Sigma & an exclusive DJ set from Pendulum. The vibe was mental, everyone from the front to the back going absolutely crazy. All DJ’s turned up & so did the MC’s who really helped get the crowd going. If you where to head over to the main stage you would of been seeing headliners for the Sunday The Feeling & Razorlight who I heard also put on an awesome performance.
I could go on & on about how the weekend went down but you’ll just have to listen to all of the Brownstock special podcast to find everything about the other stages, the food & all other madness. It also includes interviews with Brownstock performers Cojay, Scoundrel, Matirx & Futurebound & Doorly. I hope to meet you all at the farm next year for what i’m sure will be another amazing festival. You can get your tickets for next year in the link below.
