As owners of small and large businesses wait to hear how they’ll be affected by next week’s budget, new research released today by Vodafone suggests many are already hard at work on plans to make up for lost time.

The past year has seen the British economy suffer its worst slump since 1709 with an estimated two million people unable to work due to the impact of the pandemic.

But the British bulldog spirit appears to be alive and well.

Aston spoke to Piers Linney, former Dragon’s Den investor, entrepenauer and small business champion to discuss what he means by “think bigger”, why he believes big companies have an important role to play in helping small companies get back on their feet, and his hopes for the great British business recovery in view of the latest Government announcement on easing lockdown restrictions.
