Anna had this to say after the show:

What a great ‘All things Autism in Essex Show’ this month. Always great to be back in the studio with Aston we make a great team.

Our guests this week were Blyth Road a 4 piece alternative rock and metal band from London, who on the 26th May , with the support of  Chris Moyles and a campaign by Radio X they made their debut on the iTunes chart with no Other than two number 1 singles!! Band members, Richard Bagnulo, Bruce Dodin, Russell Wiggins and Harry Diffey formed in 2018 at a media college at the Old Vinyl Factory. Blyth Road have been releasing singles of a variety of rock and metal subgenres, beginning with ‘Blood in My Alcohol ‘ and ‘Unintentional Intimacy’ their first self produced songs. Our next guest was Kellie Barker a great supporter of AnnaKennedyonline. Kellie is the founder of Born Anxious a home grown clothing label with two objectives to make the clothes as comfortable as possible, whilst also remaining planet friendly, and to hold important information that will aim to help not only the child or adult, but also the caregiver as well. Kellie shares as a paremt to an autistic child, she has thought about what could help her and other caregivers whilst trying to be as generic as possible within the designs, alongside giving those the opportunity to personalise their products as well.

Our final guest on the show was Dan Carson talking about his band Strobe Axe and their debut single ‘Victorious’
Dan is a 24 year old guitarist and Youtuber from Barnsley , South Yorkshire. Dan was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at 3 years old.
Victorious is now available on spotify and the song is dedicated to disabled people who face bullying and discrimination. After Dan experienced bullying at Secondary School, he wrote the song and lyrics when he was 17 to help spread awareness.
The lyrics are made to give hope that no matter how badly anyone is bullied because of whatever needs or disabilities they may have, they must never surrender to bullies and people who discriminate against them. The music starts softly, to show understanding of how low a disabled person may be feeling, but then the chorus is upbeat and will hopefully empower the listener to feel that they are not alone. Dan wants the chorus to lift a persons’ spirit with the music and lyrics.
Both Aston and I loved the song and were tapping our feet to this powerful and upbeat hard rock heavy metal song.
