Eastgate – In Memorium

Monday August 4th 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of Great Britain’s entry into the First World War, a conflict that caused death, injury and destruction on an unimaginable scale over more than four years. Eastgate will be commemorating this occasion with a series of events, details of which will shortly be made available.

We hope that the image we have created will be of value many of you within the community, so that collectively we in the Borough of Basildon can ensure that the sacrifices of so many all those years ago are passed on to succeeding generations.
