Man punched in face during unprovoked attack

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Basildon where a man was punched in the face during an unprovoked attack.

At around 10am today, August 23, a man in his 30s from Basildon was attacked outside the barbers on Southernhay.

He was punched in the face after being approached by two white men wearing white t-shirts and jogging bottoms.

The victim suffered bruising to his eye causing it to swell as well as a cut to his forehead. The suspects made off towards the market.
